1. BOYCE! His idea for change, to teach mindfulness is the key! To start making the education system a better place, you must start small and begin with yourself. Mindfulness is something that will help you not only get through school but get through LIFE! And honestly, if everyone was mindful and aware, the world would be a better place. So teach your children yoga, take them on nature walks, do breathing exercises, and watch birds! I think they will become far more happy (therefore successful?).
2. Large. A lot of the things I said about mindfulness and awareness could also be said for good character. It's obvious that a good solution for education is to have a good character and not a bad one. And maybe when you're trying to get a job somewhere, good character just may land you the spot. Come to think of it, good character could really get you a lot of things. Good relationship with teachers, a more optimistic understanding of things, open mind, better critical thinking skills.
3. hooks. To teach and promote critical thinking, may make a classroom more fun and engaging. And to let students know that their ideas are just as valid as the next person may be encouraging.
4. Gilyard. Humanities is important. Science, math, and things like that are important too but humanities should be treated as equal. No discriminating of subjects! Poetry and painting are just as important as any other class. Let kids be creative.
5. Aronson. I didn't really relate to Deb Aronson so that's why it's last.
